The range of systems covered include desktop installations within school IT departments to network file server UPS, and uninterruptible power systems for entire datacenters to complete building service generators.

Power Protection Installations

From 300VA to 6MVA, Thamesgate engineers provide a complete installation and commissioning service, including single and three-phase LV switchgear, electrical wiring, load bank testing, battery testing, commissioning and handover. In addition to UPS systems and generators, Thamesgate can provide power conditioning transformers, isolation transformers and lightning surge protection.

Power Protection Services

The Thamesgate range of power protection services covers both new and existing power protection installations. For existing installations Thamesgate can provide maintenance plans following a site inspection, and battery replacement and disposal to the latest environmental agency standards.

In addition to the testing of third-party UPS, DC battery backup, emergency lighting and generator systems, Thamesgate offers full on-site 24-7 maintenance plans with remote monitoring and emergency response contracts.

Power protection systems provide protection from mains borne power problems including spikes, electrical noise, sags, surges and brownouts. When the mains fails an uninterruptible power supply also provides power from its connected battery set until either, the mains power supply is restored, the battery is fully discharged or a standby power generator starts.

There are many power protection systems available and Thamesgate as a manufacturer certified installer and maintainer can help you select the right uninterruptible power supply, generator, power conditioner or DC standby power system. Typical projects include data centres, data suites, file server comms rooms and offices with uninterruptible power supplies installed including single and three phase systems in standalone, parallel and N+1 configurations. Each system is configured to provide the highest possible level of power continuity for the client and their budget. In addition to standard UPS systems, Thamesgate can supply and install additional battery back up (cabinets or stands), maintenance bypass systems and onsite and remote software monitoring.
