Thamesgate provide a complete periodic testing and inspection service including the testing, inspection and reporting of electrical installations, emergency lighting and fire alarms within all types of commercial, retail, industrial, high security and public sector properties.

  • Thamesgate is an approved NICEIC contractor, allowing us to provide NICEIC certification and reports.
  • Thamesgate Electrical Testing Engineers are trained to 17th Edition and City & Guilds 2391 standards, as well as being CRB checked (required for working in area with children or vulnerable adults). This guarantees that our engineers are working to the latest regulations and can provide an immediate solution to any remedial work that is required.

Why Inspect and Test Fixed Wiring?

  • Electricity at Work Regulations: Regulation 4(2) of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 requires that: “as may be necessary to prevent danger, all systems shall be maintained so as to prevent, so far as is reasonably practicable, such danger. “
  • Legal Aspects: whilst the Electricity at Work Regulations do not specifically require electrical installation certificates or reports to be issued and retained, such documents may provide the only effective evidence for the contractor or the person(s) responsible for the safety of an electrical installation should either or both be prosecuted under the provisions of those statutory regulations.
